In short - 1 star review is even way more than what this AC deserves. If there would have been a negative star rating options then this AC deserves that.
I had bought this AC last year (2019) summers. And till now (it's 2020) summers I'm bearing this "dabba" (a piece of crap) AC.

Problems that I face with this AC. First, when you use this AC you will never feel that you have deployed an INVERTER AC in your room. No, you will never feel that. This AC works like Baba Adams era AC which (when it's compressor is ON) will give you cooling effect, but when it lower down the compressor (their so called Inverter technology) you will feel like you are spending a vocation in hot dessert. This Inverter AC works like - it's ON or it's OFF. Your room temperature will never remain constant at which temperature which you have set on your AC.
Second thing, when it lower down its compressor power, it smells like there's bad moisture in your room. (FYI, Since my AC is not old, it's just 8-10 months old so there are no mold and mildew and I have checked for that too) And when I referred this problem with others they just laughed and said they have never heard of this kind of problem ever. So, in short, the bad smell it releases is the second problem.
Third, it's a moody guy - sometimes remove the moisture from your room and sometimes it won't. I have two ACs, one this one and the other one (of some other brand) in the next room. Both rooms are of the same size with same environment conditions. But the other room AC removes the moisture very well. But this guy at the same time, it won't.
Guys I have asked there service center people but even they can't help. So my personal recommendations would be PLEASE DON'T GO WITH THIS AC, (at least this model series from Hitachi) you can try their other series. But please don't go with this series. I am asking for the series because I have used two ACs of this same model and both were giving me the same issues, so you can't think of a particular piece problem.
And last, since Hitachi is such a good and renowned brand, I am amazed how there R&D/Testing teams haven't figured out these problems before launching this product. (Posted on 5/24/2020)
